Save Cambodia’s Wildlife (SCW) has received financial support from the German Government through Johanniter International Assistance to implement a 4 year project called “Increased resilience of vulnerable farmers in Kratie and Stung Treng provinces through integrated agriculture, income generating measures and awareness raising on consequences of climate change on food security in Cambodia”.*
Under this project, so-called Eco-Clubs (38 Clubs) in schools shall reach the young population (age 6-16) including teachers / parents and pave the way for a change in mindset and behavior. Part of the educational material are SCW storybooks.
SCW would like to invite agencies, research groups or individuals to offer a competitive bid for a professional redesign of 2 existing storybooks: A walk through the forest; Samnang and the giant catfish. The redesign shall be based on up to date research on children’s interest and learning behaviour; the content shall focus on participartory methods and shall be very practical – Solutions / Actions / Behaviour what individuals can do / how they can contribute to improve the situation shall be given.
Interested consultants are required to submit a full, cogent and meaningful application based on the Terms of Reference (ToR), including

  • proposed operational plan
    • rationale
    • publication dimension
    • main planned activities
    • methodologies
    • time frame
    • budget/service charge including printing (quote for 2,000/5,000/10,000 pcs. per book)

The redesigned books shall be published, launched and distributed by mid January 2017.
