Two massage parlor owners and eight female employees have been taken in for questioning about offering sex services, authorities said.
Anti-human trafficking police raided Srey Lin 68 massage parlor in Pur Senchey districtís Choam Chao commune on Monday evening, said Chan Bunthoeun, deputy commune police chief.
Parlor owner Chreng Kimseng, 31, his wife Van Kimlin, 26, and eight female workers, aged between 17 and 28, were sent to the Interior Ministryís department of anti-human trafficking and juvenile protection for questioning, Mr. Bunthoeun said.
It is not known if they have been charged.
The case was made with only used and unused condoms found on the premises as evidence, Mr. Bunthoeun said, an apparent violation of Prakas 66, a 2013 proclamation that prohibits police from using condoms as evidence of commercial sexual transactions because it could discourage safe sex.
A motorbike and 1.5 million riel, or about $375, were also confiscated, according to the National Police website.
