The government collected $800 million in tax revenue during the first 11 months of the year, an increase of 17.3 percent compared to the same period last year, according to a statement issued Thursday by the General Department of Taxation. The statement says that revenue came from an increase in income taxes, taxes on profits, value added taxes and special tariff taxes, which increased 26.4 percent, 18.3 percent, 19.7 percent and 17.3 percent, respectively.
