Travelling to PP from HKT via BKK

I'm looking at doing this next trip.

If I check in at HKT will my bags be checked in all the way to PP or will I have to recheck at BKK?

Would expect it to depend on the carrier/alliance. Who are you flying with for each leg?

For both legs? They should check you in all the way then.

The evisa is gone up to 27 US dollars. Generally cheaper to fly from Don Mueang with Air Asia to PP although your options may be limited from HKT.

Been to PP before, this is my fourth visit.

Usually fly Air Asia from DMK but this time going from HKT.

Always done the evisa option. If i do it before the end of the month I'll dodge the increase.

    No get the e-visa..

And BKK air are real easy at check in on seat allocations.. They always put me up front just for asking.. Given the scrum at PP over the visa on arrival apps, those who have planned and have an e-visa and near the front breeze through in a minute or two.

I'll have to lok into it... in all my trips to Camboland, I've never done the e-visa... never seemed to take more than about 10 minutes at the visa counter, so it's not seemed a big hassle just to do it. Twice I ended up chatting with other guys waiting and ended up with someone to split the taxi fare with.

On my one trip I have to say I was very glad to have the E-Visa, just seemed a bit like not very organised chaos at the visa on arrival counter and then you've to queue again for immigration to stamp your passport?

best thing about the evisa is that it saves you pages on your passport....

otherwise if you get off the plane relatively quickly, get into the queue asap and have your money and photo in hand, its not too much of an inconvenience

The normal visa on arrival at PP on my 1st trip this year was fairly quick & simple, less than 10mins. I think the lack of Western-style queuing doesn't appeal to many people though

Visa fee's are going up in October though
