    Forum speed ??

I see this site load blazing fast.. The whole page loads in an instant and the lack of graphical load on the forum currently means its quick.

Its hosted in Singapore, on purpose, to be on balance faster for asain and Oz users, while being tolerable for western / USA / UK / Euro users.

Is that how others see it ??

As I was recently contacted and told they felt the site was at a crawl, was almost unuseable. As tho the server was under too much strain. I cant see how that can be server load or it would effect all people equally, not some from some places.

Snappy here in the US. Even loading a full page of the Photography thread with a bunch of embedded images.

    Edit: Even on my phone.

Kind of slow here in Perth... But this is probably because my ISP thinks you go to Singapore via Sydney.

    They're cnut's like that.

I am with Gee on this, my internet speed is not too shabby this morning and when I clicked 'reply' to this it took 56 seconds to load.

...and 103 seconds to post the reply. Not enough time to make tea but easily enough time to throw a hissy fit; a proper one

I have occasional issues with page loading on my home computer, and seems to be primarily on chrome, have not had it happen the few times I have tried it on FF, also never happened on my IM locked work computer. If I open several pages in new tabs, half of them may time out, then reloading they snap right in, it can also happen if only pressing "New Posts", goes for a min, then time out, reload, opens immediately.

Also never had it on my Nexus 7 on same network using Tapatalk.

This is obviosuly some server config issue.. Its not a connection issue.. If it was it would effect all people equally and I see it fast, max a second or two, the idea that theres 100 second delays.. Hell I wish I knew sooner.

Always been fast for me as well, and always low ping times. Good call making a conscious effort to pick a host in Singapore.

The issue is tho, there was some webhost issues, due to a security module they have, that they claim is disabled (but has shown that claim to be false a few times as its been re-enabled on some IPs) and people reporting 100+ second page loads is insane.
