Seeing odd styling/placement issues when editing using the WYSIWYG, and get an error at the top of the page.

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: invalid range in character class at offset 23 in ..../includes/class_wysiwygparser.php on line 481

Not all edits (checked by editing this), but my previous one in another thread does.

I see some mentions online that its a 4.2.2 bug and to go to the beta (a solution I dont much like)..

Is it reproduceable.. I just tried a couple of edits and dont see it..

I can reproduced it by advanced editing the post in a recent thread. Try advance edit this specific post: The meal/drink companion girls of Singapore

    I cant reproduce it..

I click edit post.. quick editor opens.. I click advanced.. the advanced editor opens..

Thats both this thread, my and your posts.. and your posts in the link above.

I do note your linking to a post with image attachments, and the few mentions of this issue google throws back also seem to have image issues involved..

Also after I just submitted that last post, the page before it sends you back to the forum had errors as well:

Nuts as none of that is happening to me..

Quick editor.. Full editor.. Quick reply.. Full reply..

This is the equivalent of 'turn it off and on again' but could you log out and in.. Those dont look like they could relate to sessions or cookies but none of that is happening to me..

OK thers a thread online with 4 solutions to stop the vbseo errors.. I am able to apply 3 of them (ones a php.ini which needs webhost config) and none of them work on the vbseo error..

Its possible they may have an effect on your warnings ??

OK fixed, or rather suppressed, the VBSeo errors..

Does that suppress yours also ??

No doesn't seem to, still the error at the top when I edit, and the editor layout all bunched up and out of style.

Can't think of anything client side specific to me that would cause it - wouldn't expect it to be a broswer issue as it is a server side error (I'm using Chrome btw).

Edit: just tired in Firefox, same issue.

Mad.. As I have now suppressed warnings (which those seem to be) and cant reproduce them.. I agree it looks server side, but theres some variable to it otherwise I would have it.

Is anyone else seeing this ??

Not me. And by the way. I don't have those lagging issues I had a year or so ago either...

I think I saw a trend in the very few cases of this I saw which were image related..

Please keep reporting when this happens, in as much detail as you can..And let me have some time to work on fixes.. I dont much fancy running the beta version of the forum, which was one suggestion.. Would rather stamp out and solve whats wrong with this security release.
