I loved London when I visited.

I didn't notice too many different things to be honest except the people standing outside pubs, which is awesome!

Beyond that......I just thought it was much more busy and chaotic than even NYC
NYC is on a grid......so it seems an orderly chaos.
London is all zig zagged

Oh supermarkets......altough I was only in a few, didn't seem as nice and orderly as they are in North America

That's funny, I took my gfs aunt and uncle who are from inner Mongolia around London this summer. Walked past some pubs around Whitehall and was after work loads of people standing outside pubs drinking. He couldn't get his head around it, just standing on the street drinking, I tried explain but he was just yeah..but why? Had me stumped.

What is zone1.....what neighborhoods and will it be near where we would be hanging out.

As I said at Le Meridien right by Leicester Square and then Holiday Inn about 15mins away in Regent Park.
I loved the Holiday Inn location.....quiet with local pubs, a few blocks from that main road that Oxford tube is on.

I still think the best best is to rent a 3/4 bedroom apartment that a bunch of us stay in.

Central London transport options are pretty decent too so you don't necessarily need stay so close to where you drink. The holiday inn near Regent's Park sounds decent.

Only just read this thread, but count me in for next years BM 'Party in London' - think I've only met Iltis in person before, so it'll be good to put names to faces and talk Thailand and have a few drinks with like minded BMs.
