Get out there in the game, don't sit up in the bleachers. That is the philosophy of pimps and preachers.

Nobody is a social drinker. Everybody drinks to get drunk. I mean, nobody drinks 10 pints of coke in a night

I'm over in Kamala...we did the usual Dodger's Xmas party of waifs and strays...about 20 of us at the same venue which is now an Italian joint....great food and wine albeit too much of both....good company...and an early evening hangover

    hey..its Christmas

Survived another Christmas back in the States, but Dad is in his 80's and having some serious medical issues. He's doing a lot better but we're going to have to move him to an assisted living facility. Grateful that he's doing better, but our return is gonna be delayed and it's freaking cold here. The kids all came up to visit for Christmas and we had a fantastic Christmas day complete with a huge christmas tree, decorations and a magnificent roast of beef. I guess they still like us. It's an incredible blessing to be able to have two homes, and to be able to maintain a foot in each world. Almost unimaginable really, most people don't get to do that.

We need to put a new roof on the stateside house as well, but I guess that's just the cost of doing business so I can't bitch too much. We'll get that sorted too while we're here. As one of my friends says, it's a high quality problem. Until recently it's been quite warm actually and I've been riding the MV Augusta a lot, which is something I miss when we're in Thailand as I don't have a sport bike there (or a decent road to ride if I did). The roads here are wide and open and if I feel the need to blast it up to mind bending speeds on the flats, or carve up a set of tires in the canyons or on the track I can do it without much trouble or interference from the authorities... The American west still has a lot going for it. I don't think about it much at all when we're in Phuket, but I do try to soak up it's benefits when we're here.

Nothing is ever perfect but we're feeling truly blessed this Christmas season, and hope you all are too.

    Merry Christmas,

    Gordo and Susie
