    I built a Sandpit

Now that we've been blessed with a Grand Daughter, I thought I'd build her a Sandpit..........

    This is the result.

That looks like a fantastic place to live. I am the opposite of Marc, I could live at your place with the occasional visit to the city.

Me too, the closest I've been to live in a city was Patong. I don't feel well if I don't wake up to the view of nature/mountains.
Nice sandpit, looks like you are going to spoil the little one :-)

Funny you should say that Homer, the family nicknamed it the Sandpit Mahal - 555

And you bet geir, she is being spoiled. But at 3 years old now, she is a very well balanced/behaved kid........

Snowy, Ada stayed over last night and played in the Sandpit for hours.
When it was time to leave today, she was cool about it. She knows she'll be back 555

Slam, It's a beautiful place, no doubt.
But I gotta tell ya, when it blows off the Southern Ocean, with a great South Wester, there's plenty of places I'd rather be.
When we first moved here, nearly 15 years ago, we were walking on the beach when we can across the biggest bull seal I've ever seen.
It had one massive bite out of it's side, which I learnt a couple of days later was from a great white.

The fishing is amazing, but unfortunately the bloody arrogant, take it all bastard out of town fisherpigs have found the place.
They'll catch a 100KG Southern Bluefin Tuna and then keep fishing coz there's 3 of them on the boat and they can take one each.

You see them pulling up in their disguised freezer vans and load a couple of hundred kilo's of it and piss off, only to be back a few days later.
But if the local Southern Rock Lobster fishermen bring a Cray back 1mm undersize, the fisheries officers are onto him and he'll more than likely pay Au$ 5K in fines.

We love the place, but lately we've been asking ourselves if we should move on in a few years..

But in the meantime, Ada can have a ball while it lasts !!

I could probably live with that, as long as it's just a small trip to the mountains. Places like Bangkok would be unlivable for me. The outskirts of cities is fine, a little bit of both.
