    Questions of British hierarchy?

Just reading up on the snafu at Buckingham Palace...Prince Andrew (Duke of York) getting hassled by the security guards. (Andrew being the lesser known of the Royal Prince's)

I guess this never would have happened to Prince Charles, or his offspring Harry, or William.

Now I'm wondering why Andrew is so much lesser known and not so fawned over by the media?

My guess is that he is never going to get a shot at the throne...if I understand correctly?

My gathering is...Prince Charles becomes King when the Queen passes. Then, his boys stand next in line for the crown, bypassing his brother Andrew. Is that correct?

But...if Charles didn't have any offspring, would the next in line be Andrew?

Fcuking confusing for this old Yank? 5555

    Ahahhhh.

So...any heir's sprog, or their sprog, takes a precedence over an heir's sibling.

Even Williams new baby (George) is higher in the pecking order than Andrew.

    Poor Andrew. 555

    (thanks K2)

If no children were had by Charles, then Andrew would be next in line for the throne.

(Just like in the movie "The Kings Speech"...Colin Firth aka Goerge VI)

Wonder what the public would make of a Queen Zenouska! - still the rate the UK is going may as well be a Pole/Russian - if only the throne was up for sale!

I doubt Andrew minds much - much easier enjoying yourself in the slipstream of the media's spotlight.

Yeah I doubt his wife Sophie is getting much action.

Poor old Eddie. Nobody appears to give a flying one about him.

Well he must have done it twice at least ....

it's good that they have slimmed down the public persona of Royal family and now it just the core members , The Queen , Charles , William , Kate and Harry . I'm sure once he gets married Harry will take more of a back seat also.
