    Premium Vodkas

I love the new Absolut Elyx vodka, really smooth and loses a lot of the alcohol taste and has more flavor, not sure how best to describe it. Thing is that at duty free it is 1600b compare to 590b for a normal Absolut, so it isn't cheap! I've tried grey goose and wasn't that impressed, prefer Smirnoff to it actually. Also tried the absolut 100, I guess it wasn't that different, not quite sure the point of it vs. just adding more vodka to your drink, but hey! Any other premium ones worth a try?

Another vote fro Grey Goose here, these recent to market 'premium' vodka's are just marketing scams.

One more vote for the goose here. Hard to find cleaner vodka.

I also don't mind Russian Standard. It's got this creaminess to it. For cheap vodka it's definitely drinkable.

Finlandia sold here in the supermarkets at just over the 600 baht mark is excellent value

Grey Goose is a decent vodka but not worth double the price IMO

Black label Smirnoff is a pretty decent vodka too...way better than the standard red then silver labels

Finlandia is my favourite if for no other reason than the hangover is less severe.

i've just tried crystal skull, it's sensational, no burning on the throat, super smooth, nice all round, worth trying for sure and the bottle is awesome as well, looks like a 'crystal skull' actually.

it just won an award in russia for best vodka in show, it's made in canada.

premium price point around $80 aud

Think it's slightly better, but agree it's far from a high end one.
Most of the time I drink to get drunk, so don't care if it's Gilbys or Grey Goose. 555

I used to collect vodkas back in AUS....ended up with about 80 different varieties...in the end I was just buying them for the bottles...The Vincent Van Gogh series with his paintings on the inside back of the bottle were my favourites...Belvedere is a nice bottle and a great shot vodka as well,,,very smooth

I'm not normally a big "vodka" guy, but I do remember graciously accepting the offer of a shot from a bottle of Grey Goose, that Nelsone1 was packing around, one particular evening in Patong.

    And it was very good.
