Yeah I went through loads of motors as a young un.. Would buy and sell.. Often not keep them for more than a month..

    No idea how many..

Before coming to Thailand one of my working cars was a beemer 730 or 735.. Which I see you had too.. What a great old barge it was.. Great long limo thing but you could still slide the fecker.

^ Same as that... I only ever had 2 also.

A ford escort that I had for about 3 years. I bought it for €500 and sold it 3 years later after about 70k miles. I sold it for €500 again. I owned a Toyota corolla too for a while.

I owned about 6 or 7 different motorbikes though.

my first car was a 1960's Valiant Chrysler push button automatic with huge fins on the back, sides and front...I love d that car until I wrote it off a couple of years later

I then had a couple of VW bugs, a kombi van and a VW variant wagon, a Passat + a Karman Gia...guess I went through a VW stage there for a while

congruently with most of those i had an old S class Mercedes which my old man gave me for my 21st...still got it back in AUS...it is cared for lovingly and maintained by a mechanic friend who takes it for a run once every few weeks

in the UK I had a VW Sirroco, an old BMW 5 series, a Ford Granada (company car) and a Golf GTi

after I started my own business back in AUS at around age 30 I started in with a series of Mercedes...pretty much owned all of the classes at one stage or another over that 20 years or so...but mostly C and S classes plus something sporty for the Mrs which I could take for a blow out once in a while

the last car I had (apart from keeping the old Merc) was a BMW M3 in NZ...it went like the clappers and cornered like it was on rails

now i am down to a PCX...and absolutely love scooting about on it...I really don't miss having a car...unless it rains for weeks on end which it did occasionally when i lived on HKT....haven't had that happen here on Samui as yet but I am assured it does happen sometimes...albeit rarely

I had a scirocco mk2 also.. Absolutely loved that but knocked wobbles into it in a few months of solid hooning..

Honda CRX around the back lanes of somerset was a wicked fast little thing too.. But after that I wanted rear wheel drivers. Cant drift a FWD as well.

    Helluva noisy with twin exhausts.

I remember my old man saying you are going to get into trouble.....too much of a target with the cops.

1997 Honda Civic EK VTi - AKA the Civic of Fury
    2006 Honda Integra DC5S

My car's newer than Paulies (probably faster too :P )

Still own both, lending the Civic of Fury to a friend until she gets her car back.

Love the DC5, 160 KW, 1200 KG, 6sp manual. You can throw this thing around corners, revs up to 8K, no body roll and you can really feel it when you put the foot down. 0-100 in 6.2 (stock). Nothing sounds as sweet as a small Japanese screamer at 8K. The DC5 is one of the last examples of when Honda made cars, real cars, not just econobox's and mum tanks.

In case you noticed a pattern, I'm not married to Honda. I was looking at a Nissan Skyline 350z two weeks before getting the teggy but the dealer wouldn't budge on price. The day after I bought the Teggy he'd called me, told me he'd accept my offer. I just laughed and told him "ya dreamin".

Honda Jazz 2010 rhd - "our" car in Thailand....

One thing I'd love to do is get an old R33 or R34 Skyline and do it up a bit. "Cannon" exhaust, reflash the ECU/Turbo and so forth. Just to make a really nice weekend/track car. Also just to learn about mechanics by doing.

But alas, I dont have the time or the room in the garage.
