Have had the Nexus 7 16gb for about half a year now and I am very happy with it. Right size for my use, can slip it in my pocket of needed. Have been using it a whole lot more than first expected, my Kindle is collecting dust, as I prefer reading on the tab.
It could have better wifi reception is my only gripe.
My brother has one. It's real fast and for around $300 bucks you can't go wrong.
I'm personally still using my transformer simply because of the fact that you can attach a keypad to it. It comes in real handy when you're on the road and need to type a lot and need access to a keyboard and touch-pad for quicker accessibility.
I think tablets with detachable keyboards are the way to go these days. I'd love to get a Surface pro but they're damn expensive.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 ". The specs on the Nexus are slightly better but I haven't found anything it won't do. Good battery life, bright screen and OK speakers.
It out performed the Nexus in the drop tests that I have seen![]()
Cheers lads for your inputs much appreciated , Geir think you have had one too many 555.
+ 1 for a Samsung Galaxy. 16gb for less than £200 on ebay, really works for me.
Ainol's Hero2 and ALDI's new 10.1" take a lot of beating ... depending on what you're after. For me its portability when traveling - watching a movie on the plane, reading forums in transit lounge.
Ainol Hero is about as good as they come in value for money stakes. Samsung Note still ~19k Bt here!![]()
Cheers, Rob.
