    Happy Independence Day

Happy 4th of July to all our American BMs as they celebrate throwing off the British Yoke over a long weekend.
    Stay safe.

We're having a big BBQ party at the house to day (18 people), and I didn't realize it was the US independence day until my American friend asked me why I was putting up a party..............For me it's my early birthday party inviting my friends in Ranong, but I'm doing my real one on KP on the 15th.
We will be a good mix of Noggies, Danish, English, Aussies, French, South Africans, Americans, Burmese and Thais.
Anyway, Happy Independence Day to all American BMs......

The Declaration of Independence was a truly revolutionary document at its time. Just as much as the notion that the Earth was not the center of the solar system. We've come through a lot of twists and turns along the way, but still abide by the precept that government draws its power from the just consent of the governed.

Will be alcohol, steaks, alcohol, fine cigars, alcohol, and big booming fireworks for us later.

NO celebrations in Kurdistan... just relief at the fact that on my day off, the home office finally had the day off too, so I didnt have to do my usual 3-4 hours.

Happy Bday America. Sad to see you've crested in my lifetime and unless some huge sweeping changes are made, you'll soon be relegated to the long line of "has been's" in history that were once globally at the top of the heap... Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Greece... I love what ya once stood for, o' country of mine, and it saddens me deeply to see what has become of you.

And yet Obama had the termerity to do as told by Cameron and tell the Scots that they shouldn't separate from the UK.
    Happy Separation Day to America....

Obviously didn't want to use Independence as it would be too emotive
