How often do you drink alcohol??

Since the forum have been a bit quiet lately, here is a question.
How often do you drink alcohol and do you consider yourself as an alcoholic??
Lets say more than one glass of wine or one beer is considered drinking.

For me I drink almost every day in high season, but step down to maybe twice a week in low season. By any western norms I'm an alcoholic, but I don't feel like one. I choose to call myself a social alcoholic as I never drink alone. Even if I have a visitor and we drink lets say 8 beer each I will stop drinking as soon as he leaves. Work the same way in the bar, I drink with customers, but stops when the customers leaves.

I am very much like you
Beers can sit in my fridge for 2 weeks and I wont touch them
    I only drink with people

I would say I drink about 3-4 times a week.....In the summer it can be almost every night
Ao will actually come home from work and have some drinks
Last Night she had 2 whiskey and cokes while we watched a movie but i did not drink

I've cut my drinking back a lot these days, I used to have a couple of beers most nights and then as much as I wanted to at weekends.

I find now, I was 50 a few weeks ago, that my tolerance for alcohol is far less than it used to be. I can't drink and work effectively the following day so I don't drink on week nights at all. My sleep is far better when I haven't had a beer for a day or two; I get proper restful sleep. I do like a beer though and really look forward to my friday evenings in the pub.

Once or twice a week ranging from a few social drinks to good night out depending if shots are involved. I can go a good stretch where I don't drink booze so I don't consider myself an alcoholic.

One thing I do miss about Vancouver is having a good craft beer at a brew pub after playing footy with the lads. Fun times.

I never drink alcohol. I don't like the taste and I don't like not to be in control of myself. Having seen a few alcoholics in my family probably have influenced me too.

By the way, not many alcoholics feel they are alcoholics.

Ever since I converted to the Mormon Church, and have achieved the "Priesthood" status...I don't drink any alcohol.

Have you heard of the Mormon Church?

Would you like to know more about it?

Feel free to P.M. me for missionary assignments.

rarely more than one night out a week these days....and I never drink at home

last drink was 11 days ago and that was only because Robert (URtheman) and Lew (The Loop) were both in town at the same time..if I have no visitors here I can quite happily go 3-4 weeks without hitting the bars

I am definitely a binge drinker though..once I start I usually like to finish the job 555...but I now get 3 day hangovers after a proper drink so I do tend to pace myself these days

Not an alcoholic but definitely had an issue with binge drinking probably 3 – 5 days a week for first 2 years here…once I started basically found it very difficult to stop !!!

Now am down to a much more sensible 1 to 2 days a week (in the main swapped the alcohol for exercise) – max about 10 small bottles of beer each time now. Still need to improve but on the right track…..finally!

A sobering thought (pun intended) - Hangovers only occur as you start to sober up.

I haven't had one since I stopped smoking.

About 3 times a week, could be just 4 pints or a 14 pint session, depending on how the mood takes. Only tend to drink beer in the UK, whilst on my travels I drink a lot more red wine and whisky.

Have found I prefer going out in the afternoon at weekends now, rather than a late night out.

Suppose I could be classed as a partial Alcoholic in the sense that when I start drinking I find it hard to stop, and for that matter don't want to stop....

I drink once a week, usually Saturday night. If I drink more than 5-6 I get a hangover, big time. I haven't been out later than 1am in yrs. During the week I may have one, but that's it.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.

    That's right. I'm not an alcoholic, I'm just a drunk. 555

I drink just about everyday, although I've been very aware of it lately and it's starting to get under control. I've stopped smoking as well, and my wallet feels fatter already.

Stopped drinking just over a month ago. I had been drinking beers daily with the work mates in Iraq pretty much every night for months.

Unlike most, I drink much more beer when I am home and wont be driving/riding and generally feel safe... when I am out socially, I will purposely drink lightly 99% of the time. Just feel like I want to have my head on right if there's trouble. Too many times it's saved much headache when I, as the sober one (and the biggest) of the group step up, make direct eye contact, apologize for something that may have not even been my fault, and politely walk away (or escort a friend away). Maybe I am control freak... I only feel comfortable to drink a lot when I am home or at a close friend's place.

I dont consider myself an alcoholic, but I think drinking beers to take off the stress can all too quickly become a pattern for me, so I need to be mindful of it.

    I rarely get bad hangovers

I will be on holiday and my best friend and his family coming along and he is a big drinker, we are when together.
I would imagine i will drink at least 10 beers a day, 1bottle of wine and be up every morning at 7am
