    That is an absolute gem!

The other kids must be just as patriotic because I'd have been falling around laughing seeing that.

    ^^^^ Thanks.

I have to say though, that after the past 4 1/2 years, I am "for the first time in my adult life" not proud of being an American!

We still think you're great it's just those pesky French folks, plus the Bolivians after today of course. And maybe the Austrians ( but who likes those guys anyway?? ), and Equador I guess after the Wikileaks thing, oh and maybe all the other Europeans after that little thing with the G8 with all the tape recordings and all, and maybe a couple of billion muslims...but we still think you're great and we do like president Obamerama very much; though we're not entirely sure you guys are real keen on him.

I have always LOVED the 4th. Great celebration in the US., especially when I was a kid.
Used to have a party here at the hotel on this great day, but there are so few Americans around at this time.
I wish we had planned it again this year.

    Happy 4th July guys.

Is there a special dinner for today like turkey on thanksgiving ? Or is Bourbon the order of the day.

The basic fare is hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, corn on the cob, watermellon and sparklers in the back yard.
