Who do you download the most?

I think this is a true test of who you really like
when you go searching and you can download many multiple songs by one band/person

    My Top:

Luther Vandross ( by far #1)
    Earth Wind and Fire
    Chicago(their 70's stuff)

and yes, i was born a black man in the 70's 5555

    ^ what.....no Alexander O'Neal.....555

I tend to get stuck in genres...I'll go looking for one song and then spend an hour in an era

With storage not being an issue I just download the discography of anyone I like and then discard what I don't like over time.

What I like to do is to go on youtube, type in a song or band I like, then browse through the suggestions on the right and discover similar stuff. I've spent hours doing this and have come across some great new music.

Then I usually just have Piratebay open in another tab for downloading 5555

Or I use listentoyoutube.com for single songs or sets from Youtube. You just paste in the URL of a video and it spits out an MP3 for ya. Pretty good stuff.

I do this.. but you often end up with lots of mediocre stuff that reduces your interest in the artist..

Total contradiction in that I have loads of electronica and electro, dance, house, break beat, etc.. and the other side is old school soul, stax volt, blues, and a few newer nusoul type artists.. stuff like al green, Otis reading, Marvin Gaye, just never seems to get bored of it where I can overload on other genres.

Spotify does this superbly.. and you have the CD liner notes etc to browse through.

I have a website in my desktop bookmarks that visually graphs artists.. kind of neat.. Will post it later.

we don't have Spotify in US, i can do a work around but now that my phone got screwy, i am afraid to add something that isn't "legal" and then have them try and screw me if the phone acts up again

    same here

Spotify and Wimp are great to find and search for new artists,iTunes will have there own service like this two lather this year

And if you have a sonos or squeeze box you can search radios by artists or genres world wide(also spotify and wimp is included)

Personally i still buy cd,s and download to alac and vaw,(on the stereo)this because of the sound quality, worst i know is pling sound where you get tired after ten minutes

So far 781 artist diverted on 2200 albums acc to Itunes

Okay this is not quite the same as downloading more streaming and for British members

I took a subscription for Thai Expat TV, there are various options, but I went for the Windows version. I can watch UK main terrestrial channels either live or going back 7 days. I've taken it for one quarter to try it, the cost being 600 baht per month

The streaming has been great, no glitches and good quality. Very happy with it

I wander if this would still be the case if "you" had to buy it, (not judging, just wandering).

Of course you would still like what you like, but as much??

actually that brings up a funny moment
was in the Bell store 2 days ago asked the kids there if they know any good music apps, even paid ones
they didn't want to come right out and say it, but basically told me they don't pay for music!

You're just not hip enough to run with that posse Paulie.

Seriously though, have you got Spotify? We even have that in Australia.
