    Book on the IRA

Any of you UK lads know a good book on the IRA

Not so much a historical book but more a personal book or even a biography

Sort of an inside look of the IRA?

    Thanks

Probably biographies by the main players in the IRA, Gerry Adams, Martin McGuiness and hunger striker Bobby Sands might be a starting point. I'm afraid none should be made out as heroes.

The problem being, neither of the first two will tell the whole story. They aren't going to admit to sectarian murders, knee capping , kidnap, torture etc and will also be obvious biased toward the IRA cause.

Still a raw subject given they were responsible for many UK armed forces and citizens deaths.

I guess they still have huge support in Boston with the huge catholic community.

I just had interest because I watched that Jackie Chan movie The Foreigner

So wanted to see if there was an interfering book on it

Thanks I will read a sample on Kindle

That is such a great function, allows you to read the first 10 pages or so

What did you think of the movie?
Piers Brosnan was the double of Gerry Adams during the conflict.0

A little far fetched one man could run rings around IRA hard men. but it was entertaining.

I'm not a big Jackie Chan fan but actually really liked the movie

    Was Brosnan's accent kinda weird?

^That was a pretty realistic Belfast (N Ireland) accent by Brosnan.
