    Tom Sharpe

I am just (re)reading his books and sees that he died today.
    Love his sarcastic writing.
Rioutius assembly finished yesterday and started indecent exposure.
    Next one will be Wilt

There was a scene in the Wilt Alternative , where I had to keep putting the book down because I was crying so much with laughter , brilliant

    RIP

Porterhouse Blue was a good adaptation , Blott on the Landscape was very popular on TV about 30 years ago as well , Wilt was made into a film , Smith and Jones iirc , but not very good ...

The books will be so much better , I would read them first before watching any downloads

yes the books are deliciously black and the language Sharpe uses is masterful....I may reread the books myself..funny thing is I read them all in the space of a few weeks a long time back after a mate loaned me his boxed set ....and will probably do that again this time around...they are quite infectious once you immerse yourself in his world
