The place looked sh*thouse. Stillearly days 555

But I'm sure it would have had it's own unique atmosphere. Maybe like Cambodia these days? How was the P4P scene back then?

My first time over wasn't until '91 three weeks in Patong , loads of beer bars then , loads of girls , Soi Dongtan was busy , Kangaroo Bar was open, Sois Gonzo and Crocodile were good also , I think they were still building Eric , lots of Bars up by the Expat Hotel and one place open 24/7 called the Saloon Bar ( was owned by the police ) , fun times

my first ever beer in Patong was on Beach Road , at an Aussie Bar called The Paradise Bar , made a point of visiting every trip , until it burnt down....,

My first visit was in 95. Remember that christins massage was in the middle of nowwhere. McD on beach road was about the last building. Lots of beer bars. Lots of people even in low season. Every place played their own music. So it was like who had the best amplifier could play the loudest music. Banana disco was the place to be for freelancers. Safari(not sure on the name anymore)disco on the mountain was a place to hang out in the late hours. Not really closing hours for the bars.
There was also a minituare golf in Patong called pirates cove.l.jpgl4.jpg
