Wired always have some cool pieces, so definitely part of my regular reading.

Ever since I became familiar with binaries though, I’ve been struck by the simple elegance of it, but also that there must be inherent limitations involved. Surely a sophisticated intelligent entity must have more at its core than a light-switch? So been waiting for breakthroughs in non-silicon based computing, and actually found the benchmarks against the Intel cluster way more promising than I would’ve initially thought. If you want new innovative solutions, it always depends on how you frame the question or input. Will certainly be interesting to follow.

Now that is fascinating... controlling information and the storage of it is right up there with controlling and storing energy...

I just hope I am alive in a hundred years to see what things are going on... besides my own extended life... 555
