So sad. Great talent, both in comedy, where he was one of a very energetic kind, and in serious acting.

RIP Really made me feel sad hearing the news, he always made me laugh so much and the characters he played were so full of life. It's a shame he apparently had so many demons in his life, yet made everyone else so happy. I was too young for Mork and Mindy but pretty much grew up with his movies - so a LOT of good memories.

Very sad, just goes to show the lives of celebrities that we see are very different to what's going on in their lives. Loved Mork & Mindy as a kid and Good Morning Vietnam is just a film I can watch over and over again.

always sorry to see anyone commit suicide....but at the end of the day it's their decision and their's alone....it should be respected and not mused upon by others who did not know him in trying to come to grips with their own mortality

Understand what you are saying Nelce, but cannot help thinking of the grieving family left behind, sometimes comes across to me as a very selfish act, no reflection on RW as I am not fully aware of the circumstances, just commenting in general regarding suicide.

Lets hope I never am in this position to find out in real life, how I'd feel if I was in similar circumstances!!
Custard should be a colour...cos I could then paint over the mess I've just made!!!

Robin Williams, Bipolar Sufferer, Dead at 63 Due to Suicide | World of Psychology

Suicide is an insidious choice due to the lies that depression tells us. When a person is suffering from severe depression, as apparently Williams was, it can tell that person, “Hey, you’d be better off dead. Life isn’t going to get any better.”

And sadly, sometimes people listen. Even brilliant, accomplished individuals such as Robin Williams.

A sad loss indeed - more so that his personal life pushed him to suicide when he gave so much pleasure to entertain others. RIP.

    He once said of divorce:

"It's like getting your heart ripped out, through your wallet"

    He had three kids.
A woman won The Nobel Peace Prize? Must have been a pretty good sandwich.

There is another version that he is quoted as saying :

“Ah yes, divorce, from the Latin word meaning to rip out a man’s genitals through his wallet”
    RIP
