Speaking of USB. I was amazed at how products have advanced. No longer do you need a USB cable. I bought a keyboard and a mouse for a lap top. They come with a usb connector piece that you plug into the laptop and it works wireless immediately. No driver downloads any more. Is this relatively new or have I been out of the loop too long...

It's not wireless USB, it's still a local physical USB part - but that bit communicates with the keyboard/mouse over radio.

But yes they've been available for 10+ years 555.

You can also get totally wireless keyboards that use Bluetooth and don't need any part plugged into the PC.
