Loads of mosques around the south / Phuket etc..

I havent detected much if any anti western bias to Thailands muslims.. Something that far more prevalent in Indo etc. Most have been pretty friendly with me.

I would say that is true, my neighbours and landlady are muslim and they are the nicest people you could meet, not a hint of anti western predjudice. I was a bit nervous aboug letting them take Alex out to play thinking they may want to introduce him to their religuous beliefs but not a bit of it, they are very respectful of the differences between us and it is very much a live and let live situation. I can only respect that.

And Steve, if you drive from Ranong to Phuket every small village have their own little mosque.......The majority is muslims. I talked to an Aussie guy that wanted to buy land (it was cheap, cheap) in one of these villages. They had settled on a price and ready for the paperwork when he exposed that he was going to make a small pig farm.............Guess I don't need to say that the deal never worked out 5555
