    The Masters

Shaping up nicely after day one. Spieth looks like some player, totally un-intimidated by Augusta so far. Justin Rose well placed and looking good too. Great to see the occasional fabulous touch from Tiger Woods as well, I'm no real fan of his but it's really sad to see him shoot in the 80s; kudos to him for toughing it out.

Rory McIlroy seemed to tough it out yesterday as well. I didn't see all of his round but he finished -1 and is still very much in the competition. I would very much like to see him win.

I will be holding thumbs for Ernie.

Never won a Masters but I would love to see him get one.

for me Speith is the new Rory....his game has it all...I had a wee flutter on him and Jimmy Walker just to keep interest...would be nice to see Ernie finally get the one major to elude him...Jason Day also in the reckoning

Had the same bet here Nels.

Speith looking the goods after round 2, no going the early crow, but it's a bet thus far.

Super impressive from Spieth yesterday. I didn't watch much of it but, jeez, 13 under after two rounds? He will take some beating from there.

He's at -14 after the second round.

Charlie Hoffman nearest second place at -9.

My bad. I just caught a glimpse as I was leaving the pub so he must have still been playing, a phenomenal score for anyone but for such a young guy at Augusta wow.

Sergio Garcia wins this years masters on what would have been Seve's 60 th birthday. If ever a golfer deserved a major, it was him.

^ It was a long time coming, but a golfer with his talent deserves a major. He worked hard for that one and Rose pushed him all the way.

I'm afraid Danny Willett may be a "one hit wonder" and has done nothing since his win last year.
