Hope he wins and quits. He must have a future in the media somewhere, the series he did last year was great.

I have spent a bit of time on the IOM chatting with Manx folk. Obviously the TT got discussed and even though an awful lot of families have lost someone to the race the mere mention of stopping it drew condemnation, it really is part of their heritage. It is considered a rite of passage for young men to achieve a 100 mph average lap.

I've been there too and understand how deep it goes. Would also have to think how much money it brings to the island and how much of a blow it would be to their economy if it went; possibly not the most objective of places to poll over whether the TT should still be run.

I'm not against it per-se, I've done some road racing in my distant youth and understand why people do it to an extent, it just makes me a bit sad every time I see one of those reports or evry time we lose someone like Dave Jeffries.

I always try and catch as much coverage as possible of the IOM TT racing. For me it's the pinnacle of road racing. ITV4 showing plenty most evenings next week.

I'm another who would love to see Guy Martin finally win and call it a day. There is only so long you can race here without disaster and he has had one big crash already.

^ In the Senior and Superbike he has a good chance this year.

Michael Dunlop apparently won't be riding the Yamaha and will be on the BMW from last year (getting it out of the shed at the last minute kinda thing) Dunlop is having major bike issues.

Yeah for sure it's a crazy competition. If Martin does win the senior or superbike this year will he just retire?? Hmmm...

^ Hope Bruce Anstey does well too... He's at it a long time. I mind seeing him winning at the North West 200 what seems like a lifetime ago. He's a legend at this stage...
