Actually really looking forward to a new WC. I so want England to do well, and will be rooting for Belgium as well.

Starts good, Russia straight against a team that just finished the ramadan. Another ramadan team in that group. What a coincidence

Somehow I can't get excited about this World Cup. Once the dross has been knocked out we will be left with the usual suspects. Belgium a good outside bet with the players they have.
France should go far too, but I can't see beyond another Germany v Brazil with Brazil taking this one.
England? Don't have a hope in hell with not one "World class" player in the team. Not even Kane.

Egypt.. Nigeria.. Senegal.... Tunisia and Morocco are the African sides.

So will be watching with keen interest to see if any of these sides can perform.

I hope these two teams meet after last years final, they both seem to have improved in their weaker areas, Brazil have good goalkeepers for a change and Germany have a better forward line than last time.

I read itís now a saying in Brazil that when something goes wrong they say Ďand Germany scores another!í

Wow what a free kick by Ronaldo!

It's already pretty fun watching it in Mexico.
Sunday when Mexico plays will be a blast!

That Nacho goal will be hard to beat... phenomenal strike... so hard to control a ball like that. Ronaldo's free kick wasn't too shabby either...

Ronaldo carrying Portugal on his back yet again... but Spain look like a team that could go all the way. They were poetic to watch tonight...

Will there be a new thread for every team playing?
    Russia, Done.

Let's just enjoy the play and not overcomplicate things. 5 - 0 in the opening match... and 6 goals between Spain and Portugal. That was pure entertainment. Even if no team actually won the game 555.

If you are going to post in this thread I demand you get the terms correct 5555

I'm not a native English speaker... so I'll happily confuse the terms match and game 555. Just don't want the Germans to win the war.
