    Nfl 2013-14

With the draft coming up in a few days, figured it was time to get an NFL thread going. Should be an interesting draft with possibly no QBs being selected in the first round.

Was waiting for the NFL thread, could also been titled Jets Summer Soap Opera. 555

Now that Revis is gone are they going to cut Tebow, or are they still holding out hope for a 6th round pick for him?

Well with Ryan still coaching the Jets, I think he would be. I'd be interested to see what Kansas City does with the first pick, i'd probably try to move it if they are any takers looking to move up the draft. But in terms of QBs, I thought Geno Smith was on a few teams' radars?

there is possibly 15 teams trying to move down in the draft
i doubt seriously anyone will move up to #1, the value isn't there

    as for Jets
just a joke of a franchise, no need to follow

I think there is some good value in the first round but you're right about the top few spots.

i don't think that the Jets will ever be anything more than mediocre with Sanchez at the helm. He would make a pretty good backup with a great team.

I wish someone would finally give Tebow a chance to be the guy. I'm not really a fan, but it would put to bed the question of can he or can't he. I'm tired of hearing about it.

I blame the media for Tebow's situation. But without being a Quarterbacks coach, I really can't see how bad his throwing mechanics are that everyone seems to write him off. He really should just go to the CFL for 5-6 years and come back like Doug Flutie, Warren Moon, and Jeff Garcia. They turned out alright.

I thought he did OK in Denver...at least he won a playoff game. Obviously can't fault the Broncos for upgrading to Manning, but Tebow should get a shot. Either that or just cut him. He has zero trade value at this point.

I agree. Jets should just do him a favor so he can move on. No team in their right mind is going to offer even a 7th round pick for Tebow.

First time no RB was selected in the first round since 1963. And only 1 QB selected and it wasn't the one everyone thought it would be. Manti Te'o still out there blowing in the breeze.

Yep. And brilliant move (damn it all) by the Pats trading down. Minnesota way overpaid for that pick.

Yeah, but they have a history of overpaying...remember Herschel Walker? 55 The Vikings were directly responsible for all of those Cowboys Super Bowl wins.

    Say what?

Tebow to join the Patriots. How long will it take before Belichick turns him into a Tight End? 555

This team has managed to make guys like Woodhead and Edelman productive. They'll find a way to use Tebow and make him productive as well.

New England Patriots' Aaron Hernandez likely to be arrested - NFL - SI.com

Yikes this doesn't look good. What a waste of talent.
