It must be US thing. I remember playing rounders at school - quite fun although a bit simplistic. Seems same as that right?

That is why the playoffs is so awesome.......the game sets up so much so a ton of drama every game
Regular season is sort of just a cool thing to watch......probably the least exciting of the 4sports
But come playoffs time, it is the exact pace that sets it up to be dramatic

I don't think a casual observer would be ableto appreciate it

And actually it is probably the least simplistic of all our games.......a lot of moving parts and strategy, sort of your like your football

I am assuming you mean football (soccer), rugby, cricket, and boxing ??

or another one of these 'world series' 'world champions' league things

Yeah, baseball is great. Looks simplistic, but there is an unreal amount of strategy on just about every pitch.
Was really following it closely, but my guys, the Nationals, are out of it. Now I'm rooting for KC to go all the way.....and they're looking pretty good right now.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.

Indeed, South Africa, India, Pakistan and England coming to our shores this summer and then, Fixtures - Cricket World Cup 2015 | ICC Cricket

Countries from around the world playing in a type of " world series", 555, not state teams from 1 country, 5555,

ok that's my yank 'bash' for the day, 55.

But seriously how can 1 country honestly believe they are world champions,
when no one else in the world competes against them, I can never get my head around that, Yankees beat Red Sox and are they world champions.

    Maybe good for another thread???

I swear this has been done multiple times! Isn't something to do with the name of the newspaper who sponsored the first competition?

wish i knew how to do the quotes from the sites, like LOS does ( faulty and a few others), it would make the quote easier, rather than linking to the whole hyperlink.

Here we go with the whole World Series thing again for the 20th time

I appreciated the interest from NeedHoliday and such but I really started this thread to actually talk about the baseball playoffs

I almost never whine about where a thread I start goes because God knows I derail enough of others. 555

But from the bottom of my heart......FCUK OFF 555

If we didn't have the same argument with the same people over the world series every year, I'd indulge ya

But I just want to talk about basebaall and the games

So again, FCUK OFF and start another world series thread if you want
    Gracias amigos

I went to an Oriels V Yankees game once

I had no fkin clue what was going on and no one care much around me either. It was a great day out eating great junk food and getting hammered on beers. The amount of bars and restaurants and stuff available at your seat was mind blowing

The one complaint I have gotten in my travels is about baseball and how slow it is and how hard it is to understand
I never really grasped that until watching games with Ao
She is not the kind to sit back, she wants to know what's going and fcuk me..............there is a lot to explain 555

But you got the gist of regular season baseball, it is a day out at the park, drinking and eating
And if you went in Baltimore, which I assumed you did.............that is a great ballpark

Actually, all the new ballparks have about a 1/4 of the space as standing areas so you can just hang out drinking
Seattle is fantastic, basically the whole outfield is one big bar

Ye it was Baltimore, fantastic place. We were surrounded by yankees fans and the banter was great as everyone one was off their heads. I was seriously drunk leaving that game 555555555555
