    Manny vs Floyd

So watcha think? May 2nd and I just hope an injury doesn't postpone this fight. (I wouldn't be surprised)
I'm going to spend whatever it cost to watch it at home with some friends.

    You?

Plan A is watch in a bar on Surin Beach. Only problem is the bar is scheduled for demolition so am hoping for a stay of execution. Plan B to be determined.

    Plan A-1:

Don't be in bar when demolished?

I seriously haven't been excited for a boxing match in years, but here I go! 55

I'll be making sure i'm at work, our place will look like 'little Manilla', def 1 of the biggest days of the year, sports betting will be through the roof.
Can't wait for this 1, agree with Waharoa, it's been a long time since I was excited about a boxing match, don't care less about UFC at all, but appreciate it's big interest and others do like it, just not me.

Unfortunately I don't think it will be the fight it would have been 5-6 years ago and Floyd is going to outbox the shit out of him.

But I will also pay whatever it costs.
Part of me wants to go to a bar but I will stay home so I can really watch it and focus

I know a group of guys that had rooms booked at MGM months before the announcement for 150/nt. They are going for a bachelor party.

They can easily flip them for 1000-1500/nt now

Unfortunately, Mayweather look-alikes aren't Mayweather. It's got to be really tough to train for Floyd. Of course Floyd has the same problem: training for Manny.
However, I think Floyd will frustrate Manny and beat him in a decision. I think Manny has lost more over the years than has Floyd.
Whatever the outcome, it should be a great fight.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.

^^ I always used to laugh about the "cat in the hat". 30 years ago, people would talk about it as a training book and ask my opinion. I say "I'll wait till the movie comes out, lol"

    I'm slamstradamus....

That was some fight. There's an interview with Hagler on the BBC site this week as it happens. Hagler was bitter and angry about being cut out of the big fights, don't think he could have been beaten that night. He won in the long term too, retired with his money, and all his marbles, to Italy. Hearns carried on ( I think until 2006! ) and got into all sorts of financial problems, and some health issues as well.
