    Soi Eric......with your Visa card!!

Thank Christ this wasn't around in my hey day!
I would have been flying home crying 555

We were at Lucy's Bar last night in Soi Eric, Little Devil's Bar.
    They accept Visa/MasterCard

I couldn't imagine the damage that would have been done to a lotof PI guy's bank accounts if they took credit cards back in the day

    Jeez Louis!!

Not to mention receiving the monthly resumé of your payments and your wife seeing it

Do you swipe in the slot, or stick it in and use the chip?

By the way.......why wouldn't a bar set it up to take Visa?
I could imagine guys would spend way more if they were using their cards.
Only issue is I could see some complaints to Visa after a big drunk night

I doubt that could happen without a fee.
Rarely do credit cards charge much under 3% processing fee so any vendor would have to charge more than that to stay in business.

I do not mind credit cards, use them as much as possible and doubt the convenience ever cause me to spend a single dime more.
It truly is sad when people finance something that is not tangible or negotiable and even then in excess of what could be realized tomorrow.

I do get drunk on somewhat rare occasions, and maybe I would buy a drink or two more than and I need and even a couple of extra LD's.
If I do spend more than intended a credit card would never make a difference.
For as many years as I can remember I have always, in the US, handed a bartended my credit card so to leave the tab open for convenience.
With a reasonable degree of certainty I can say that I have never bought one more drink than I otherwise would had I paid cash.

Safe to say .....I bet a lot of guys getting drunk on holiday in Phuket would be a lot more liberal with a CC at the bar vs cash in the pocket

Yeah, I finally saw the sign again about the Visa cash back, it is at Bar Funk in the new Tiger complex (under new Tiger disco). I didn't ask if there was an additional fee nor the amount allowed, but I did see someone paying by credit card.

^ £50+ for a small 70cl bottle of Gin!! Fcuk that.

That is on a level with the rip off joints of Soho titty bars in London.

Normal drink prices are higher than the average UK bars. You just don't get the female staff offering to polish your c0ck 5555

I think that might be a misprint... Note that the 70cl vodka is 2400, but the 1 Lt. is 2800B. I'll bet it's for a 750 or some such . Still robbery, but TIT.

You CAN put the barfine on your card, so you might have enough cash left over to knock it one notch on your overnight selection...

For those on a tighter budget you can always get some 7-11 beers and go talk to the ladyboys on the beach, ermmm my mate says...

    You reckon misprint?

I don't....Bangla is endemic with that type of pricing for drinks this time of year.

oops my misread, 70cl is 700ml.... about 17 shots per bottle at 42ml per... times 170 per shot equals 2890 THB... They'll sell you the bottle at only a scant differential to the shot by shot price.... Yeah, looks like Bangla. Same same... Not enough punters, raise prices again. There aren't enough one week millionaires in the world to make that sustainable. I guess Patts is having problems too. No wonder...

Thats $70 US for a Fcuking bottle of $15 gin... FFS! Wonder what it costs at Illuzion?

was with my friend in Soi Eric last year. My friend wanted to give a lady drink to somebody she knew. 250 Baht.
I said: one is enough. Never went back.
