    EatItGo.....Bangkok dining app

    This app is incredible.....
I used it a bunch when in BKK this trip.

The app has all sorts of sections based on type of food, like Steal, Italian, Middle Eastern,
And also based on areas like Asok-Nana, Riverside
And type of places......Hotel Buffets, Rooftops, etc....

You start surfing and it tells you what type of discount you can get at a certain time for a certain date

I've gotten 50% off at some very high end hotel buffets, and tonight I am not hungry right now but a bunch of restaurants have 20-30% off around 10pm

You just book the reservation and Everytime the restaurant knew already and I didn't have to show anything, but if I did, you just pull up the app and show the reservation and what discount you booked at.

It really is a money saver and you are not pulling out coupons at your table

The owner of TD bizarrely asked why would I bother to look for discounts in Thailand.
When most of the western places in Thailand are as or more expensive than back West now.

I told him it was the dumbest post I've ever seen.

Then, as expected on any Thai forum......a discussion came on why you would eat Western food in Bangkok.
Ignoring the fact BKK has become one of the better food cities in the world....

One of the best Italian restaurants I know is in BKK. Not cheap, no discounts but fantastic. Booking advised.

I ate at Pizza In the City at the end of Soi 11 in the lobby of Holiday Inn Express.
The food was great and the owner came over and asked how everything was.

I save 250baht off the burrata, which was amazing and 175baht off the pizza.
425baht is about 18cad off a 40 dollar bill before discount
    I take that any time

We booked it for a Sunday brunch for 4, saved me 4k baht.....150cad

They don't eat Asian food when they're in the West either I guess

Thanks for the tip on the app, I'll use it next time I'm over, I usually struggle finding good restaurants in BKK.

I definitely agree with you, and usually don't mention about another forum.....

I just thought his reply was so fcuking bizarre........to not bother with discounts in Thailand. It may have been the most bizarre thing someone has said on any forum I have been on

Especially when the reasoning is because its too expensive..

One thing I love about Chiang Mai, the variety of non Thai food is huge, in fact much more than where I live in UK.. Persian hummas platters and falafels.. Italian, Viet, French, spanish tapas.. Its a really nice aspect about here.

No the reasoning was that it is cheap enough......
When that is clearly not even close to the case in BKK unless you are only going to beer bars and steet food(That is rapidly non-existent)

    Zak's Soi 11

Great patio and great happy hour until 8pm

All tapas were 2 for 1(most expensive being 185baht) and I was drinking Kirin bottles for 85baht.
The tapas were good and the service was great....

Over 3 visits we probably had 12 different tapas.....I didn't like one of them, the fish tacos. The waitress saw I only ate one of the 3 and asked if there was an issue.
I told her I didn't like the taste and she told the chef and asked if I'd like another tapa for free...
That has never happened in Thailand before

    Highly recommended
