    Bangkok - floods

Anyone around at the moment and can report on the floods please? Seen a few pictures on FB where the streets are maybe 10" deep but I don't know where in Bangkok and whether its getting better or worse.

I remember my first trip to Thailand in Nov 2011 when it was really bad and landing at Swampy you could see the fields completely flooded. I was luckily as I was only passing through BKK on my way to HKT.

I also would like an update on this. I have an overnight in BKK coming up in the next few days and if Suk is all flooded out, I'll just stay out near the airport.

I haven't seen any indication of flooding yet on Suk or Sathorn/Silom. Actually, not even seen any sandbags but admittedly only out at night~ and not really looking!

There has been talk of releasing dam catchment XS upstream from BKK .
Hopefully this doesn't coincide with the Isaan floods flowing to the Gulf at the same time as heavy BKK rain and high tides ...
