    Mortgage rates

hey how do mortgages work in Thailand?
the rate? how it is compounded and most importantly, can you pay off a mortgage early? and if you do, i think you still on hook for the whole interest?

    thanks

    definitely not for me
Ao and her mom looking to buy a townhouse but i don't want them getting into a shitty mortgage deal and if it is that shitty, i'd front it and have her pay me back
but if not that bad, i'd rather they do it on their own for a few reasons

    thanks Kev

Our loan was with LH Bank (Land and House).

No problem paying it off early. No penalty payments etc.

Interest rates were on a par with Oz

You need to look at every one as an individual issue as there seems huge variation.. Lots of the projects have developer finance.. Lots of high end villa type ones can be with specialist finance over high street banks.

The seem cheap rates.. But I have never dug too deep.

I assumed that I just meant to say the mortgage market seems quite diverse and I would not assume any rules are 'normal' and each offer has to be vetted fully on its own merits.
