    Patong - another 2am close :(

2 days in a row now? Whoever is visiting - please go home 555.

Seriously though, as if the bars hadn't struggled enough this low season, to then kick them whilst they're down in high season as well.

On a lighter note I see the usual Loy Krathong stalls being setup - hopefully by the time it comes around everything is back to normal. Thursday is gonna be so busy!

Still under martial law.. CNX is still midnight for almost everything.. Gogos get a bit of time, a couple of connected clubs also, but generally all beer bars and the Thai side of town gets shut soon after midnight..

Has been ever since the coup..

Could this be a strategy to push tourists to staying in their high end hotels?

What a boring holiday having to go home at 2.00am.

Don't have that problem in Vegas or New Orleans

It'll be like staying home in Auckland

Why would families with kids and couples want to stay out later than 2am? They dont exactly fit the profile of party monsters. 2am seems like a good time for Patong to close

It was still very busy at 2am, I'm sure the kids were tucked up in bed by then and the dads out partying (or trying to 555).

Families with kids don't, can't for the life of me see why young couples wouldn't want to stay out? then I suppose 500 plus stupid bars owners, 20+ gogos, 15+ night clubs, all stay open with no customers?????55555555

Somehow G takes pleasure in pointing out Patong is not a cesspool like Pattaya and somehow people should offended by that 555

Nobody is a social drinker. Everybody drinks to get drunk. I mean, nobody drinks 10 pints of coke in a night

ha....it was actually her suggestion but also the most practical
I am picking up my stepson and MIL to come to Vancouver for 6 weeks
My wife is in LOS for the whole month of January so she doesn't want to take off more time at work.
I will actually spend most of my holiday in Tokyo and India and just 5-6 days in Thailand
