Patong 2006 - Faulty Towers and all

Just having a ferret around in my pictures and found a few from Patong in 2006. I'm not sure if we were staying at the Expat this time but the pics sure brought the memories of it back:

Think the Aussie Bar started off only with the small bar upstairs......used to go there to meet a girl on my first trips.

I remember it, we watched a rugby game there but I can't remember what year. Must have been quite an early trip.

2006 for sure, EXIF data in the pics confirms it.

Thanks for earlier pics Mike, real memory lane stuff for me that.

A few Soi Sunset places from the same era !

    Soi Sunset
Extasy a gogo, Titanic, Valhalla, Tai Pan, Night Moves Black Rhino Beer Bar, V.I.P Bar, Up To You Bar, Dee Jays, Safari Baby, Europe Bar, Tom and Jerry Bar, Dragon Island, Africa Bar, Kiwi Bar, Blue Moon, Night Station Pub, Faulty Towers Inn, Pussy Galore, Galaxy, Hollywood Pub.

Note: Unlike the other beer bar streets with mostly small hut bars this one is different, with more discos and live music pubs and inside bars. When the other bars close at 2:00 or 3:00 (am), people come here to continue drinking and dancing.

I stayed at the Expat a couple of times ,when the choice was Hot or Cold water room 555 , in around '92 -'93

there used to be a Bar owned by the police that was always open , called the Saloon Bar and lots of small open air beer bars , one called the Kiss and Fly ( probably the hottest girl I ever BFd ) , also for a while they had an inverse Bungy set up around there ..
