    Home Sweet Home..........Yorkshire

Not often I get homesick but this made me feel that way........not quite enough to book a flight home though

Yorkshire has been named as one of the top places in the world to visit in 2014 in a new travel booklet.

Lonely Planet put the area third in the top 10 world regions, behind destinations in India and Australia.

The guide mentions Yorkshire's "rugged moorlands, heritage homes and cosy pubs" and that next year's Tour de France's grand depart will be in Leeds.
The 13th Century York Minster cathedral also makes it into the guide's top 10 global "sights to make you feel small".

Been watching the Great British Food menu on BBC (Thai Expat TV and or Zenmate on Chrome Browser allows you to use BBC i Player) anyway this program is the absolute bollox, it don't half make you want to get home and tuck into some excellent food

So much so I've decided to have a month in the UK from mid November!!!

Oh shit ... seem to have started a expat exodus from Thailand trend!

[GBP/THB at 70 - could be worth going back then].

Nothing too extreme it's good to get a break from Thailand & spend time with family

Off the booze & Atkins for a month too!!! Neither can be done in Thailand

I had to search a bit to find Yorkshire in the list.
Lonely planet makes so many different best lists that you have to find the one in Best Regions, While Schotland is then in Best Countries.
